Telluride, Colo. -

A couple weeks ago, two young skiers visiting from Texas ducked the boundary ropes on Gold Hill, skied into dangerous territory and set off an avalanche. The 15-year-old watched as his 18-year-old buddy was swept off a 40-foot cliff. The boys were busted by Ski Patrol, and frankly, they’re lucky they didn’t get injured or killed.
Unbelievably, they wore helmet cameras that recorded the whole fiasco. The footage from one was destroyed; the other recording survived. The Planet’s Reilly Capps obtained 20 minutes of that footage using the Freedom of Information Act, and we’ve posted it here.
Check it out. Tell us what you think. Send it to your friends. It’s scary. It’s hilarious. It’s unforgettable.
