Evening: Mars and Saturn

It’s time for another Earth Day. Tuesday brings us back to remembering and honoring where we came from and where we shall return. From dust to dust, from sea to sea, we travel diverse and different paths, but we all do it on the same terrain, here on planet Earth. And from our Earth, looking up, we watch the stars and planets move and shift.
On Sunday at 4:27 a.m., we’ll see the sun and moon oppose each other in the recurring planetary aspect of a full moon. This opposition takes place in the first degree of the Taurus/Scorpio polarity, which is significant, as the next full moon will be in the same polarity, but at the last degree. This translates as a prolonged period of double cosmic emphasis on the Taurus/Scorpio archetypes of stability and destruction, building up and tearing down, acquiring and releasing, satisfaction and discontent, security and transformation. Challenges and opportunities come in the name of balance: material versus spiritual, physical versus emotional, pleasure versus pain, indulgence versus sacrifice, personal versus transpersonal and inner versus outer. As above, so below. As within, so without.

The next few weeks are highly charged regarding issues of have and have not, money and love, individual will and divine providence. Take your time, do your best. And don’t forget to honor our Mother, the Earth. She shows us the way.

Aries (March 21-April 19)
The recent new moon in your sign marked the beginning of your personal spiritual and emotional year. This week’s lunation shines light on how you’ve started and whether or not you ought to continue or change course. Fixations on people or possessions must be let go of. Money cannot buy happiness, inner peace can. Identify heartfelt values and live accordingly.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
The Age of Taurus (4,000 to 2,000 B.C.E.) marked the birth of humanity’s great agricultural civilizations. The quest for stability via earth cultivation and animal domestication focused upon our dependence and relationship to material realms. Today, we must be neither overly attached nor dismissive of the physical world. Honor the world of form, but do not worship it. Stay in balance.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)
Modern urban living can make it difficult to touch the earth. Our Great Mother, Gaia, provides for and nurtures us all. Do not forget from whence you came, take time to appreciate the source. Miracles of fertility and natural wealth abound on this planet. Feel the sun, till the soil and plan your garden. Honor nature and embrace the power.

Cancer (June 22-July 22)
More money or more material possessions cannot assure greater happiness. Facing economic realities and dealing with them in practical, responsible and honorable ways does. It’s all about doing the right thing and feeling good about your self as a result. Identify what you can do to improve business, settle disputes or rectify wrongs. Recognize your part and work toward positive solutions.

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)
It’s time to identify what we really want and what we need to do differently in order to have it. Full moon light illuminates personal efforts and attempts to achieve goals and create authentic wealth. Professional recognition comes to those who focus on positive solutions and utilize practical methodologies. Refrain from self-sabotage or self-pity. Smile!

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
This week, a fortuitous earth grand trine reduces resistance, enables flow and heightens inspiration. It’s time to get real, let go of fixations and contend with the consequences of our choices. Clarify values, identify what’s not working and commit to making the changes necessary for spiritual progress, emotional peace, physical health and material wealth.

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
You may witness the chaos and observe the confusion in the world around you, but are somehow able to remain calm and maintain a sense of inner peace. Domestic sanctuaries and natural environments provide the serenity necessary to balance turbulent times. Focus attention on career desires and take action one step and one day at a time.

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 22)
Cosmic messages come knocking as you open the door on a lunar month of spiritual and emotional renewal. Pay close attention to what comes your way now. This is an auspicious, fortuitous time of great personal potential. Identify the difference between external and authentic power. Cultivate inner beauty and experience outer magic.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23-Dec. 20)
An emotionally charged relationship from the past may surface this week and bring to light issues of personal importance and value. The message is all about self-improvement. Identify your part and take responsibility for it. Recognize the difference between progress and perfection. One is possible and productive while the other, simply, is not.

Capricorn (Dec. 21-Jan. 19)
Generous Jupiter in your sign square dances with Venus and Mars in a very dynamic cardinal cross this week. Issues of male and female, war and peace and love and hate are likely to play hide-and-seek or cat-and-mouse. Know the rules of engagement before you agree to play the game. Maintain inner peace, as this too, shall pass.

Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
A matter of spirit, including pain and forgiveness, rears its head and roars a lion’s roar as the sun and moon oppose each other in the fellow fixed signs of Taurus/Scorpio. Are you willing to release attachments to outcomes and let the universe provide? Everything happens for good reason; it’s a cosmic creation. Let it flow.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)
The wild, revolutionary influence of Uranus continues to revamp your life and your world. Changes serve positive functions, if you’re willing to go with the flow and ride the tide to the other side. Communicate ideas, prioritize relationships and surround yourself with positive, expansive influences. It’s all about growth — so grow!
